Description
This oval shaped 1Kg bread proofing basket allows your dough to breathe, taking on maximum flavour for best baking results. Seasoning the basket couldn’t be simpler. You can lightly dust the inside of the basket or wash with cornflour and allow to dry. A super sticky dough such as 100% rye can be shaped and rolled in oats prior to proofing, creating a barrier between the dough and basket to stop it sticking.
Before first use, spray the inside slightly with an enzyme-free releasing agent to protect the rattan, and dust with flour. The basket can be cleaned every 4 weeks using a brush without water. Then place the basket in the oven for 20 minutes at a temperature between 120° and 140° C to sanitise.
